This Is Not a Government Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot pull criminal records, run official background checks, remove or correct a record, or accept expungement filings for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the right government office directly.
Need an Official Record?
Use the Ward County office that created or maintains the record:
- Sheriff and jail records: Ward County Sheriff, 415 E. Monahans Parkway, Monahans, TX 79756; 432-943-6703; fax 432-251-0912. Call to confirm the request method and hours.
- Felony court files: District Clerk Valerie Romo, 400 S. Allen Ave., Suite 202, Monahans, TX 79756; P.O. Box 440; 432-943-2751; fax 432-943-3810.
- Class A and B misdemeanor files: County Clerk Denise Valles, 400 S. Allen Ave., Suite 101, Monahans, TX 79756; 432-943-3294 or 432-943-3295; fax 432-943-6054. Public hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday.
- State criminal history: use the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division for its public conviction search or fingerprint self-review process.
- Police incident reports: ask the agency that wrote the report, such as Monahans Police for a city incident rather than the sheriff.
- Expunction or nondisclosure filings: confirm the correct case and court with the clerk that handled it before filing.
The Ward County Sheriff does not publish a named records division, dedicated records email, fee list, or counter schedule. Call 432-943-6703 before mailing a request or visiting. The County Clerk warns that it does not conduct most general searches, does not keep felony or traffic-ticket files, and may require the requester to inspect available material personally.
